We use Knowledge Organisers across the school
How to use your Knowledge Organiser
A Knowledge Organiser contains key knowledge or information that we want our pupils to remember in each subject. Class teachers will tell pupils what to focus on. Pupils should then spend time at home reading through the knowledge organiser and commit the knowledge to long-term memory. They should mainly self-quiz to check their learning. Self-quizzing means doing the following: Pupils LOOK, COVER, WRITE, CHECK.
How can parents support?
1. Set up somewhere quiet where your child can work.
2. Spend 30 minutes an evening supporting child with their knowledge organiser.
3. Remove any distractions, such as mobile phone or television.
4. Encourage, check and praise their work.
